Janice Petrella Caccuro is a lifelong resident of Moorestown who personally understands what it means to be part of this tight knit, caring community. Janice's passion and dedication within our community are most apparent in her willingness to continuously give back, in a variety of ways, both as an active, engaged participant and as a leader.
An accomplished athlete who had a successful law career and most recently owned her own small business, a property management company, Janice combines her desire to succeed with unique leadership qualities, fiscal responsibility, and an innate ability to see all sides of an issue. As a proud Moorestown High School graduate and NCAA Division I Lacrosse National Champion and All-American, Janice knows the value of working hard and working together to accomplish goals as a team. She's experienced the impact and importance of including diverse perspectives in decision-making, which has been a cornerstone of her success in her personal and professional endeavors.
Much of Janice's impact can be seen through her volunteer efforts within our community. An active member with Home & School, Moorestown Lacrosse, Moorestown Youth Football Association, and board member for Pheasant Run Swim Club, Janice is willing to take on any role and help out in any way that's needed. Janice brings energy and accountability to everything she does and does so with the intent of bringing people together towards a common goal. Janice has a history of leaving things better than she found them and her humility is second to her success. She is excited to share her passion and dedication to positively impact everyone who lives in Moorestown.
Janice and her husband, Frank, are actively involved in the academic and extracurricular pursuits of their three (3) children Caden (15), a freshman at Moorestown High School, Cole (13), an 8th grader at WAMS, and Gavin (11), a 6th grader at the UES. Janice's parents, Edward and Patricia Petrella also live in Moorestown, as well as her two sisters who have raised their families in Moorestown.
Tara Matteo Banasz grew up in Moorestown. An active community volunteer, with a full-time career as a recruiter with three children, Tara credits growing up in Moorestown for her strong work ethic, dedication to family, and passion for community service. Tara would be honored to give back to the community that has given her so much, in a most meaningful way, by serving on Town Council.
Tara earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Joseph’s University where she also played NCAA Division I tennis. Currently a Senior Recruiter for a local mortgage company, Tara’s successful career leading the recruitment efforts for the firm comes from her ability to actively listen, understand objections and communicate well. Being empathetic to the needs of others and helping them find the right job is a skill that Tara takes much pride in and views as an important trait that can be beneficial to Moorestown.
In her free time, Tara volunteers at Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC) and is on the board of the Moorestown Lacrosse Club. Much of her volunteer focus is on enhancing experiences and providing opportunity through fundraising. As Vice President of the Parent Teacher Association for OLGC, Tara is committed to ensuring the school can provide an exceptional and affordable education for all, which includes making sure the school can offer needs-based scholarships to benefit all children. Tara takes great pride in furthering the goals of Moorestown organizations and making resources accessible to all who want them. In addition, Tara serves as the chairperson of Dance Assembly.
Tara is the proud wife of Jeff, a U.S. Marine and Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. They are actively involved in the interests of their three children, JT (15), Carter (13) and Brooke (9). When she is not working or volunteering, Tara is most likely spending time with her parents, George and Michelle Matteo, who still live in town.
